llms.txt generator: a ready file from your sitemap.

Enter your website address. We read your homepage and sitemap, take the title and description of each page, group them into sections and build an llms.txt file in the llmstxt.org format. You fix the business description and upload the file. No AI involved, nothing stored.

e.g. yourcompany.com (we use the whole domain)

What to do with the file

  1. Fix the line under the heading (the one starting with “>”): what you do, for whom and where. It is the most important line. The generator takes it from your homepage description, which is often vague.
  2. Remove low-value pages (terms, tags, archives) and add missing ones: pricing, key services, contact. We take up to 16 addresses, spread across the whole sitemap.
  3. Upload it to the root of your domain so it opens at yourdomain.com/llms.txt, then check it in a browser.
  4. Test the whole page with our AI visibility check: llms.txt is worth 3 points out of 108; crawlers and content without JavaScript matter more.

What a good llms.txt looks like

An example for an accounting firm (sample data). A heading with the name, a one-sentence description, sections with links and a short description of each page, and an “Optional” section with less important addresses at the end.

How the generator works

  • We fetch your homepage (business name from og:site_name or the title, description from the meta description).
  • We look for your sitemap: first in robots.txt (the Sitemap line), then at /sitemap.xml. From a sitemap index we take the first child sitemap.
  • From each selected page we read only the title and description. Sections follow the first part of the address (e.g. /blog/, /services/).
  • We do not use AI and do not store the address or the file. Sites with bot protection may reject us; you will then see the status code.

Frequently asked questions

What is llms.txt?

A Markdown file at the root of your site (/llms.txt): your business name, one sentence about what you do, and a list of key pages with short descriptions. The format was proposed at llmstxt.org so that AI assistants can understand a site quickly without crawling all of it.

Does ChatGPT or Google actually read llms.txt?

There is no official confirmation that ChatGPT, Gemini or Google Search use it, and Google has said it does not need it. Treat it as a cheap extra that takes ten minutes, not as a lever. Readable content, unblocked crawlers and structured data matter far more.

Where do I upload the file?

To the root of your domain, so it opens at yourdomain.com/llms.txt. On WordPress use FTP or the hosting file manager (some SEO plugins, such as Yoast SEO, can generate it for you). On Shopify and some site builders you cannot upload files to the root; you need an app or a developer.

Do you store the address or the generated file?

No. We only count how many times a day the generator is used (a number, without the address).
